Hyena Factory Tool (FTS) is an in-house tool for the Hyena manufactory. It provides comprehensive solutions for managing production information and services.
I worked with cross-department and participated in discussions to gather requirements and work with the pm to make specifications.
Challenge: Unifying incompatible systems of each manufacturing
Due to the company’s previous reliance on multiple subcontractors for product manufacturing, we encountered the challenge of integrating various incompatible equipment systems. This complexity hindered the development of cohesive software solutions and led to frequent technical transfer issues, complicating the overall production workflow.
My role as a Designer
As the lead designer, I faced the challenge of understanding the unique requirements of each incompatible system. Ensure that the design is meet the different needs of operators and productions.
To address this, I did user research, including interviews and observations with production staff, to identify pain points and design intuitive interfaces that could accommodate various workflows.
Result:
By integrating manufacturing, production recording, and product testing into a comprehensive work order system, operators gain immediate access to detailed production information.

With Hyena Factory Tool System, we create a more efficient production environment, fostering improved communication, reducing errors, and ultimately enhancing the overall quality of Hyena's manufacturing processes.
